Any less and it won’t flower as much and may be more susceptible to pest and disease pressure.Soil: Pretty particular about soil. Enjoys growing in neutral or alkaline soils, but won’t do as well in acidic soils. Absolutely needs good drainage, as any sogginess won’t be tolerated.Water: Has average water needs. After it’s established, water when there are extended periods without precipitation.Fertilizing: Apply a fertilizer formulated for woody, flowering plants once in the spring.Pruning: When to prune Bloomerang Purpink lilac: After spring bloom.How to prune Bloomerang Purpink lilac: A light trim is recommended just after spring bloom.
