OSO EASY DOUBLE RED® Rose

Light: Oso Easy Double Red rose thrives in full sun. When planted in an area that gets less than six hours of direct sun each day, it will not flower as prolifically. Soil: Prefers moist soil that drains easily. Any period of extended sogginess will not be tolerated. In terms of pH, it prefers either neutral or acidic soils over alkaline soils. Water: Average water needs. Avoid wetting the foliage when you water for optimum disease resistance. Fertilizing: Apply a granular rose fertilizer in late winter/early spring when the soil is workable and again in late spring to give the plant a boost for rebloom. Pruning: When to prune Oso Easy Double Red rose: Pruning is recommended in early spring; late fall is also acceptable.How to prune Oso Easy Double Red rose: Remove weak branches in the middle and about 1/3 of the height and width. Make cuts just about 1/4 of an inch above a bud. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time, just cut back to a set of leaves. Other: This rose can be used as a cut flower. For its longest vase life, help it absorb more water by cutting vertically up the stem about 2 inches.
